RYA Coastal Skipper practical

RYA Coastal Skipper course is a perferct offer for advanced skippers who would like to verify their knowledge in practice and become confident of their skills for safe sailing by day and at night. This is also a crucial step on the way to RYA Yachtmaster.

We recommend taking RYA Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Offshore Theory course before Coastal Skipper course in order to get ready for practical course and learn tidal waters navigation.

RYA Coastal Skipper course takes place during a 5-day cruise and is run in English.

Course program includes:

• maneuvering exercises, 
• route planning, 
• navigation,
• challenges of sea sailing in passages lasting a few days,
• techniques of yacht handling in various weather conditions, 
• safety, 
• emergency situations, 
• preparing yacht and crew.

RYA Coastal Skipper certificate.
The certificate is issued directly after the course - once the course program is completed by the candidate.

• advanced skills of yacht handling under sail,
• sea time of at least 15 days at sea, 2 days as a skipper, 300Nm, 8 hours by night,
• 17 years old,
• command of English.

The course begins at 10am in our training centre at 43 Portowa Str. in Jastarnia.
After the crew meeting, we move to a yacht, present the course programme and weather forecast. Right after the briefing we begin our training.
